Erin is 15 years old. She is looking forward to getting south and enjoying the warm sunshine. Erin brought along her keyboard to keep up her piano skills. Her goal for this trip is to teach herself guitar and she's already off to a good start. Erin enjoys being at the helm of our boat and she's always up on the bow when it comes time to help Dad with the anchor!
Christine will be 17 in January and enjoys being out on the deck while we're sailing. She enjoys helping to raise and trim the sails. Christine is looking forward to swimming and snorkeling in the clear water of the Bahamas. She hopes that we can participate in a program which transports school supplies from Florida to children in the Exumas.
Michael is 13 and has been looking forward to this adventure since we came home from our last boat trip 7 years ago! Michael loves to drive the dinghy and worked hard to pass the boater safety course in order to get his boater's license. Michael is most looking forward to speeding around in the dinghy and exploring the Bahamas!
For Lisa, this trip is all about lots of quality family time. Living on a boat requires living simply, so there's less time spent in the 'rat race' and more time for family. Lisa enjoys exploring new places and meeting interesting fellow cruisers.
Mike enjoys being on the water and maintaining the boat and planning the routes on his cool navigational software. He is the captain and makes all of the decisions... with, of course, the approval of the admiral (Lisa).
Tazzie is our 4 years old golden retriever who has adapted very well to life on the boat. She has mastered getting in and our of the dinghy from the side of the boat and she even climbed the 4 step companionway ladder when she was left down below. She loves watching birds and dolphins, but she does enjoy her time on good old 'terra firma'.
